Tutorial : Saving the Runlist
The runlist window shows you a list of all the scripts that are
currently opened in the program. This list can be saved as its own
kind of file -- a Listec Pro Runlist (.TRL) file.
The runlist file is a list of all of the file names that are to
be opened with the runlist, and is saved to disk by using the
Save Runlist and Save Runlist As commands.
These commands are very similar to their script-saving counterparts, as
noted below.
Save Runlist
As mentioned previously, the default name given to a new runlist is
"New Runlist". When the
Save Runlist command is first given,
the runlist file is saved as the file name "New Runlist.TRL", in the
default directory.
When the runlist is saved, each script in it is also
saved in succession. If the script already exists on disk, then
you will be asked if it's okay to overwrite it.
Show how to save the runlist file
- Click on File on the program menu.
- Click on Save Runlist.
- If the runlist or script files already exist on disk, a dialog
will ask you if you want to overwrite it:

- Click on Yes to overwrite this file, No to skip
this file but continue on, or Cancel to call off the
entire operation.
Save As Runlist...
like 'Save Script As', the
Save Runlist As command
opens up a dialog box that allows you to specify some additional
details about the runlist file before it's saved.
Show how to display the Save As dialog
- Click on File on the program menu.
- Click on Save As Runlist...
- The Save As dialog appears (see below).
The Save As Runlist dialog is similar to the Save Script As dialog,
except the only allowed File Type is the
Listec Pro
Runlist File (.TRL) format.
In the
File name area, type in
Tutorial Runlist, then
click the
Save button. The runlist file will
be saved into the folder that was specified in the
Save In field, and the runlist window title bar will then be updated with
the new file name
(as shown below).
