Tutorial : Opening a Saved Runlist
In the previous example, we made significant changes to the runlist --
in fact, it should only have one script listed. What if we want to
bring back the runlist that we started with?
Recall that we saved the runlist before modifying it, and that we
haven't saved it since. If we want to recall the runlist as it was
before we made the changes, the runlist file needs to be
closed without saving the changes, and then re-opened.
To do this, first use the Close Runlist command to close the current runlist, and then use the Open Runlist command to re-open the saved version.
Close Runlist
The
Close Runlist command closes the runlist and all
scripts listed. If changes have been made to the files, the
program asks if you'd like to save the changes, and also if
it should overwrite it if it exists.
For this example, remember to answer "No" when it asks if you
want to save the runlist file.
Show how to close a runlist
- Make sure the runlist window is in view by finding its name
in the Window menu and selecting it.
- Click on File on the program menu.
- Click on Close Runlist.
- The program asks if you'd like to save the file:

- Click No.
Open Runlist
Now it's a simple matter of opening the runlist file
that was saved earlier. The
Open Runlist command is
very similar to the Open Script command, with the exception
that you may only select files of type
.TRL in the
Open Runlist dialog box.
Show how to display the open runlist dialog
- Click on File on the program menu.
- Click on Open Runlist...
- The Open Runlist dialog appears (see below).
Locate the file
"Tutorial Runlist.TRL", select it, and
click on the 'Open' button. The runlist and all the scripts that were open when the runlist was first saved will now be opened in
Listec Pro.
